Richie Grant, a Choctawhatchee High School Alumnus and Safety for the Atlanta Falcons NFL Football team is back to host his second Back to School Giveaway! This event is a significant opportunity to prepare for the 2024-25 school year. Get ready by stopping by Choctawhatchee High School on July 13, 2024, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. to receive complimentary backpacks and school supplies. There will also be entertainment for the kids! Students of all ages are welcome!
July 20th
Sip & Science: Lost in Space is July 20th at Emerald Coast Science Center. Shows are at 6pm and 7:30pm. Sip & Science: Lost in Space takes our usual fun antics appropriate for adults age 21 and up, and turns it into a journey through space (with wine). Join us for this fun and interactive planetarium show, including beer, a specialty cocktail, and appetizers.
The Planetarium is an inflatable dome. Guests sit on cushions on the floor of the planetarium to view the show. Space is limited. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled showing to check in, grab your drinks and apps, and get settled.
$20 for nonmembers/$18 for members. Ticket price includes admission to 1 planetarium show, access to our Space Stations, 2 drink tickets for adult beverages (beer, specialty cocktail, wine, and soda available), and food. Ages 21 and up only More details here.

Planetarium Special Feature: Norse Mythology at Emerald Coast Science Center. Join us for a Planetarium Special Feature where you’ll explore the Norse legends of the sky! Sit under the stars and listen to the action-packed stories of the Norse gods Thor, Loki, Odin, and Freya. On this tour of the solar system, you’ll learn fun facts about the planets, how the Nine Realms of Norse mythology were created, and how the days of the week received their names from the Norse gods.
The Planetarium is an inflatable dome, powered by FPL. Guests sit on cushions on the floor of the planetarium to view the show. Due to size, space is limited to 25 patrons at a time. Purchasing tickets in advance is highly recommended for this reason. Shows begin at 6 and 7 pm and last approximately 45 minutes. Pricing: Nonmembers: $12. Members: $10. More details here.
