Dumbledore?

In every presidential debate there must be a winner. Someone who far and away stole the show and had people across the country talking.

During last month’s republican debate, that winner was #HotDebateGuy. Last night, it was Dumbledore.

That’s right, none other than Albus Dumbledore, he of former Harry Potter and Hogwarts fame. Just how was this fictional wizard able to make an appearance in Las Vegas? Because we believe, that’s how. Or, actually, it’s because viewers and Twitter followers are convinced that one of last night’s audience members looked exactly like Dumbledore.

It all started when CNN panned by the man in question (pictured above). As you can see, he does bare a strong resemblance to the world’s greatest wizard, from the flowing locks and beard to the professor glasses. And he certainly strikes us as someone who can probably perform an Accio spell or two. But maybe that’s just our overwhelming Harry Potter (and love for Dumbledore) at play?

If so, then we aren’t the only ones who are hopeful for an Albus sighting. Practically the entire Internet became convinced that we were witnessing a wizard revival on the screen. It’s all anybody could talk about! Forget Hillary Clinton’s emails or Bernie Sanders’ opinions on capitalism, the real action was right there in that beard.

There’s no word from the audience member himself on whether he is, in fact, Albus Dumbledore, but do we really need confirmation? To quote the prolific film The Santa Clause, “Seeing isn’t believing…believing is seeing.”
