As 2025 gets underway, Billboard has taken a thorough look back at the top charting artists of the first 25 years of the 21st Century. Based on her performance on the Billboard 200 albums chart and the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, Taylor Swift has been named the No. 1 artist on Billboard’s Top Artists of the 21st Century chart. Even though Swift didn’t make her Billboard chart debut until July 1, 2006, with her debut single “Tim McGraw,” that she released when she was just 16-years-old, Taylor has since notched 14 No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200, an all-time record for women artists. Swift has also scored 12 No. 1 songs on the Hot 100 chart over the course of her career.
