FRIDAY NIGHT PASTA DINNER ON FEB 17TH,FOR WOUNDED WORRIOR PROJECT.
The son and Daughters of Itally, Lodge #2422 will be honoring our wounded men and women of the armed forces by hosting a Friday night Pasta dinner on Feb. 17th. All proceeds will go to the WOUNDED WORRIOR PROJECT...It will get underway at 5pm on the 17th and go until 7:30. It will be held at the Sons and Daughters Lodge located at 808 South Drive Ft.Walton Beach.
HARLEM AMBASSADORS EVENT SET FOR FEB.17TH 7PM
Its that time again for the Harlem Ambassadors to come to town..This great event is a way that the Ambassadors can help raise money for the Okaloosa /Walton Homeless Continuum of Care-Opportunity inc. It will take place at the Northwest Fl. State college Arena Feb. 17th at 7pm.
MARDI GRAS/2012-CARNIVAL ON THE ISLAND/FEB 11TH
A bit of New Orleans coming to Ft. Walton Beach for the Mardi Gras 2012 celebrations on Sat. Feb. 11th. The theme this year is "Carnival"...There wil be a parade down Santa Rosa Blvd. Join the parade, or come and watch. There will be treats, beads, and even more beads as the colorful floats make their way down Santa Rosa Blvd. The parade will be sponsoredby the Emerald Coast Tourism Development Council.
A SHINING STAR FOR CHARLOTTE/HELP BATTLE LEUKEMIA ONE CHILD AT A TIME:BENEFIT ON FEB.24TH
A shining Star for Charlotte, a benefit for Charlotte Goodman and her family will take place on Friday Feb. 24th at Howl at the moon. A dueling Piano show to support Charlotte will start at 7 pm, (must be 21)or older. Charlotte will recieve 100 percent of the proceeds from a raffle and advance ticket sales.
1,000 DOLLAR STUDENT ETHICS SCHOLARSHIP FROM THE BBB FOUNDATION:
The Better Business Bureau Foundation of Northwest Florida is currently accepting applications for the 2012 Student Ethics Scholarship. Its given to college bound students within the Northwest Fl. area who demonstrate overall personal integrity and ethical behavior. A total of 9 high school jr. and senior students will be granted $1,000 towards the accredited college or university of their choice.
